What I'm working on at this very moment!

As the title says... I'm currently sitting here at the computer working on burnishing my pewter salt and pepper shakers. They are almost done! The black is a coating of sulfuric acid that was applied to the pewter, now I'm burnishing it off by hand with steal wool.


After this first round of burnishing I will apply a second coat of sulfuric acid to even some of the areas out and I plan to do some "shading" like effect.

As you can see these are not small shakers. They fit in my hand.
To me they feel really nice in the hand, a good weight, smooth, and they warm up to the touch.
